Third Thursdays at Sunset Pointé

The third Thursday of every month from six to nine at 1150 University Avenue.

Once a month, the house opens its doors to the room it was built for.

Third Thursdays is an evening for Rochester’s 40+ working professionals — founders, executives, creatives, and the people building something they take seriously. Wine and conversation under five chandeliers, in a room that holds the evening at exactly the right register. No name tags. No pitch rotations. No agenda beyond the one that happens when the right people are in the same six thousand square feet.

It is composed by C&B Elegant Events and it runs on the third Thursday of every month.

What the evening looks like

Doors at six. The room is set for standing and sitting both — a floor arranged so a conversation can start at the bar and finish at a table.

A cash bar runs the evening, tended by a licensed bartender: whites, reds, and blush across sweet and dry, with domestic, craft, and international pours on the list. Hors d’oeuvres come out through the night — chicken wings, caprese skewers, meatballs, a charcuterie board, and infused water in carafes throughout the room. Food is included with admission.

Underneath it, a playlist built for a room of adults: R&B and neo soul from the eighties through the 2000s, held at a volume you can talk over.

Nine o’clock, and the evening closes.

Who it’s for

People who are serious about their work and want a room instead of a webinar.

The evening is built for conversations that carry weight — the kind that turn into a collaboration, a referral, a client, or a hire. Attendance is intentionally kept close. Fifty guests is the shape of the evening, which is enough to meet someone new and few enough to actually finish the conversation.
